ABOUT

LATCH: A Journal for the Study of the Literary Artifact in Theory, Culture, or History is an occasional academic journal publishing scholarly writing that examines how texts both shape and are shaped by the material and ideological currents of their own time. Since texts cannot stand above the constraints and influences of their socio-historical settings, explorations of how and where the nonliterary invades, supports, or illuminates the literary can only enrich the ongoing study of literature.
